We have trouble keeping clothes on our children. For some reason, both of them are fond of stripping themselves naked and streaking through the house. With DD1, this is only slightly embarassing. DD2, however, removes everything plus her diaper, and always at the most inopportune times (just after pooping in it, usually). I have tried to gently encourage them to re-dress and/or to keep their clothes on. We insist on it if someone else is in the house or if the kids want to go outside. DD1 generally has a clever reason why she can’t put her clothes back on, however.
“I’m just tired.”
“My clothes are wet.” (said after playing near water)
Tonight’s excuse was a new one, though:
“I can’t put my clothes on, Mom. They’re dirty. They’re full of dirt!”
